Job summary

Curamoir Healthcare Recruitment PTY seeks a Counsellor to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples affected by past removal policies. You will provide culturally secure, trauma-informed counselling, advocacy, and healing-focused services within a central Perth setting.

Your role includes outreach, client record management, and collaboration with the team to deliver community-based healing that respects family and cultural worldviews.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Counselling or equivalent required.
• Experience counselling Aboriginal clients affected by forcible removal policies.
• Strong cultural competency and understanding of Aboriginal history.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally secure, trauma-informed counselling to Aboriginal clients and families.
• Engage clients in reunions, healing camps, and cultural reconnection activities.
• Maintain accurate client records and contribute to outreach activities.
• Collaborate with team to deliver community-based healing services.
