The Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of NSW (AH&MRC) is leading a community-driven precision medicine study across New South Wales. The role supports recruitment, consent, and engagement with Aboriginal Medical Services and community members, under a co-designed approach.

Qualifications

• This is an identified position and applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• Undergraduate qualification in biological sciences, health, genetics, pathology or related field.
• Proven experience in the project management of clinical research projects, preferably in a primary care setting.
• Current Good Clinical Practice accreditation or willingness to undertake accreditation.
• Significant experience working in partnership with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, communities and health services highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel regularly, intrastate and interstate.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate recruitment and consent processes, identifying resources needed at each site.
• Train health service staff and community champions to guide participants through informed consent and recruitment where required.
• Coordinate participant referrals, questionnaires, health assessments and sample collection.
• Liaise with health services to obtain participant data and support secure data entry.
• Monitor recruitment activities, milestones and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of engagement, recruitment and consent activities.
• Prepare reports and progress updates, contributing to project planning and continuous improvement.
