Job summary
One Door Mental Health is seeking a collaborative Aboriginal Peer Practitioner for a fixed term, full-time role based in Tamworth. You will champion co-design and lead co-production practices, placing the service user at the centre of their journey and focusing on relational care.

Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Peer Work, AOD or related health field.
- Experience with peer work and lived experience is valued.
- Ability to engage respectfully with Aboriginal communities.
Responsibilities
- Utilise learning from personal recovery stories to support others.
- Provide peer-based support with trust and empathy.
- Deliver outreach-based peer support in community settings.
- Support Reconciliation Action Plan implementation to improve outcomes.
- Promote culturally safe services and partnerships with local communities.
- Monitor culturally safe practices and advocate for improvements.
- Empower individuals to achieve their goals and improve quality of life.
