Job summary

NSW Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network invites applications for an Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner, Primary Care - PFT - Broken Hill. You will deliver holistic health care within a multidisciplinary team, focused on prevention and chronic disease management for Aboriginal clients.

Identified role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people with pathways to AHPRA registration; located at Broken Hill Correctional Centre, with opportunities for training and career

Qualifications

Holds or is eligible for AHPRA registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
Holds or aspires to hold a minimum Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care; Cert IV pathway supported.
Eligible to drive in NSW and travel as required.

Responsibilities

Provide flexible, holistic, culturally sensitive primary health care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
Collaborate with nursing staff, Integrated Care Service, and external agencies to deliver timely care.
