Job summary

Justice Health NSW is seeking an Aboriginal Health Practitioner, Primary Care, to join our multidisciplinary health centre team in Broken Hill, NSW. You will provide flexible, holistic, and culturally sensitive health care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and apply key strategies for face-to-face patient care.

You will focus on prevention and management of chronic disease and work with nursing staff, Corrective Services NSW, and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health

Qualifications

• Aboriginal Health Practitioner with Certificate IV and AHPRA registration.
• Aboriginal Health Worker with Certificate III or willingness to transition to Cert IV.
• Eligible to drive in NSW and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible, holistic, and culturally sensitive health care to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
• Focus on prevention and management of chronic disease.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, Corrective Services NSW, and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations to ensure seamless care.

Education

Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice)

Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care

Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
