Job summary

Based at Moree Community Health Service, the Aboriginal Health Worker will join the Hunter New England Violence, Abuse and Neglect Service, supporting Aboriginal communities with culturally safe, trauma-informed care and advocacy. You’ll collaborate with the Aboriginal Health Unit and other health professionals to connect families with essential services and resources.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work with Aboriginal communities.
• Willingness to travel as required and hold a current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe, trauma-informed support and advocacy.
• Coordinate cases with Aboriginal children, individuals, families and communities.
• Deliver prevention, early intervention and health promotion in partnership with local organisations.
