Cumberland City Council is seeking an Aboriginal Engagement and Programs Officer to lead education programs across the Cumberland Local Government Area. The role focuses on building understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, places, history and languages.

• Experience delivering education programs to diverse audiences (children, seniors).
• Experience in community development or engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Strong project management for planning, delivery and review of programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor education programs in the Cumberland LGA.
• Engage with communities to support reconciliation and cultural understanding.
• Maintain records and monitor expenditures and budgets.
