Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools at St Peter's Primary School in Port Macquarie is seeking an Aboriginal Education Worker (Identified Position) on a part-time, permanent basis. Start date is 28 January 2027 with 42 hours per fortnight.

Classification at Level 4 or 5A (averaged) under the NSW Systemic Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025. The role focuses on driving Indigenous education initiatives, fostering cultural identity, and building strong relationships with students, families

Qualifications

• Must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
• Experience engaging with local Aboriginal communities is desirable.
• Knowledge of NSW Catholic education context is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Support the Diocesan Action Plan for Indigenous education.
• Promote a sense of belonging and cultural pride for students.
• Assist in developing individualised plans integrating culture, curriculum and career goals.
• Build partnerships with local Aboriginal families and community stakeholders.
