Job summary

The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency Co Op (VACCA) seeks a Lakidjeka (ACSASS) Case Advisor to support Aboriginal children and families through the child protection process, offering cultural guidance and advocacy. You will help ensure culturally informed assessments, planning and decision-making that prioritise the best interests of children.

Qualifications

• Valid Police Check required.
• Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain).
• Victorian Driver Licence required.
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended).

Responsibilities

• Provide cultural guidance and advocacy throughout the child protection process.
• Support Aboriginal children and families to understand their rights and navigate legal processes.
• Collaborate with Child Protection to ensure culturally informed assessments, planning and decisions.
• Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with families and services.
