Job summary

Corrections Victoria Community Corrections – Morwell VIC is seeking an Aboriginal Case Manager to oversee court-ordered work with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients in Morwell. You will conduct risk assessments, craft case plans and deliver culturally appropriate interventions to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Victorian Aboriginal communities.
• Understanding of court orders and case management principles.
• Ability to engage with Aboriginal justice networks and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients on court orders, conduct risk assessments and prepare case plans.
• Provide culturally sensitive interventions to address underlying causes of offending.
• Support clients to successfully complete court orders while protecting community safety.
• Advise the Koori Court to assist in sentencing where required.
• Develop and implement cultural support plans in collaboration with Aboriginal networks.
