Job summary

Corrections Victoria in Mildura is seeking an Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager to deliver culturally informed case management for clients with complex needs and serious offences. You will create tailored cultural support plans and guide rehabilitation journeys, contributing to safer communities.

The role prioritises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants and requires strong collaboration with Aboriginal organisations, Koori Court involvement, and a commitment to reducing reoffending.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community.
• Strong case management skills with complex needs.
• Ability to apply strengths-based, culturally informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients.
• Create tailored cultural support plans for Aboriginal clients.
• Assess risk and develop individualised case plans to support rehabilitation.
• Provide expert advice to leaders on culturally safe approaches.
• Build partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and services.
• Attend Koori Court to provide advice and support as needed.
