Job summary

Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd - F47 in Sydney NSW is seeking a 3rd Party Logistics Operations Specialist for Australia External Fulfillment to oversee inbound, outbound, quality, cost and supply chain activities.

You will act as a performance guardian and cost controller, drive Lean/Six Sigma improvements, influence stakeholders, and implement changes that raise network benchmarks in a data-driven environment. The role requires working across weekends, nights and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a structured, systematic approach to site-level performance management, including short-term improvement plans, deviation management, and providing high-quality performance comments and feedback.
• Proactively identify performance deviations, develop and execute corrective action plans in collaboration with 3PL providers, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize operations.
• Support 3PL Providers navigate Amazon's WMS system to achieve operational excellence.
• Support productivity and cost-optimization projects and influence cost-improvement activities.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to proactively detect potential issues before they impact KPIs.
• Effectively implement top-down changes from Amazon leadership as well as bottom-up initiatives to align 3PL operations with Amazon standards.

Support the full operational picture: Inbound, Outbound, Quality, Cost, and Supply Chain as the vital link between Amazon and its 3PL partners. You'll be a performance guardian, cost controller, and change agent all at once: spotting hidden savings, driving Lean/Six Sigma improvements, and holding sites accountable while empowering them to deliver on Amazon's behalf. If you thrive on data-driven decisions, high-stakes stakeholder influence, and setting the benchmark for an entire network, this role puts you at the center of it all.

Key job responsibilities

• Performance Management:

  • Demonstrate the ability to influence and align with internal and external stakeholders on improvement plans.
• Change Management:
  • Effectively implement top-down changes from Amazon leadership as well as bottom-up initiatives to align 3PL operations with Amazon standards.
  • Exhibit the capability to develop positive and effective initiatives, acting as a primary proposer and setting higher benchmarks for the rest of the network.

Basic qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
