Job summary

Sinclair Renewable Energy is hiring 2nd and 3rd year electrical apprentices for full-time roles in Heatherbrae, NSW. Work across Port Stephens, Newcastle and Maitland on solar and battery installations with a close-knit team.

Overtime is paid at 1.5x and 2x, and mentoring is provided in a small crew. Ideal applicants are enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year, hold a White Card, and are comfortable on roofs with a positive attitude.

2nd & 3rd Year Electrical Apprentices, Solar & Battery - Multiple Full-Time Positions Available

We have multiple full-time positions available. You’ll work out of our Heatherbrae workshop on jobs across Port Stephens, Newcastle and Maitland. It’s local work, with no endless travel. Most days are standard hours. Some overtime is needed to get the job done, and it’s paid at 1.5x and 2x.

The Role

You’ll be part of a small crew of licensed, accredited electricians and apprentices, working together on quality solar and battery installs. Small crew means you’re not lost in the numbers. You get real time with the sparkies, and you learn the trade properly. Every job is a private install for our own customers, with quality gear and enough time quoted to do it right. Day to day, you’ll be doing:

• Solar panel installation and roof wiring
• Inverter, battery and EV charger installs
• Switchboard and general electrical work alongside the sparkies
• Keeping sites clean, safe and compliant
• Solar experience is a bonus, not a must. If you’ve got the attitude, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Must Have

• Current enrolment as a 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprentice
• White Card
• Comfort working on roofs
• A good attitude. We’ve built a great crew and we’re protective of it.

• You can’t take being corrected without sulking

• You leave the site for someone else to clean up
