Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our Mining & Minerals South West team in Bunbury. You will provide practical health, safety and environmental support, coach leaders and crews, and drive a positive safety culture on site.

This permanent full-time role includes a fully maintained company vehicle and opportunities to contribute to successful project delivery across regional operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ HSE experience in mining construction/maintenance or shutdowns.
• HSE systems/reporting proficiency; concise report writing and action tracking.
• Well established knowledge of site HSE policies and procedures, and HSE legislation relevance.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE advice to the site team.
• Support HSE audits, inspections, investigations and training/awareness.
• Monitor practices to ensure adherence to safety/environment procedures and standards.
• Ensure all HSE processes (JHA, permits, etc.) comply with legislation and standards.
• Provide hands-on support to implement HSE improvements and plans.

In this role, you'll provide practical health, safety and environmental support, coach leaders and work crews, and contribute to initiatives that drive a positive safety culture and successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide HSE advice and expertise to the site team.
• Conducting and supporting HSE audits, inspections, investigations and training/awareness.
• Monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards.
• Ensure all HSE processes and activities; JHA’s, permits etc. comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
• Provide hands on support to implement HSE improvements, plans or solutions.

What you’ll bring:

• Certificate IV qualification in OHS and/ or Environmental or related area is essential, Diploma preferred.
• Certificate IV qualification in Training and Assessment (desirable)
• Minimum 2 years’ HSE experience in mining construction/maintenance or shutdowns.
• HSE systems/reporting proficiency; concise report writing and action tracking.
• Well established knowledge of site HSE policies and procedures, and extensive knowledge of HSE legislation and standards and their relevance to Monadelphous.
• Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels.
• Availability to work shutdown profiles and pick up rostered project swings when required.
