Job summary

Service Stream Defence division is expanding with permanent full-time TAR Caretaker roles based at Bathurst Island, NT. You will provide continuous oversight and security of TAR facilities, ensuring safety, readiness, and integrity at all times with on-call minor repairs and Defence communications.

Ideal candidates have security or facilities management experience, relevant certifications, a valid driver’s licence, Australian citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or in security or facility management with emergency response exposure.
• Defence sector experience would be highly regarded.
• Relevant certifications in facility management or security would be highly regarded.
• First aid certification preferred.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Australian Citizen and able to obtain Defence Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a 24/7 presence and/or being the point of contact (POC).
• Providing general oversight and security of TAR 24/7.
• Being available on an on-call basis to perform minor corrective works.
• Planning and delivering presentations to Defence and recording outcomes.
• Performing range inspections after every use to check for damage, vandalism or theft.
• Ensuring that the facilities are safe, operational and ready for the next user.
