Job summary

Telstra Enterprise’s Government Assurance Team is seeking a network-support professional to diagnose, investigate and resolve incidents in enterprise and government environments. The role supports Telstra’s enterprise customers with 24/7 shift coverage from Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne.

You will work in a Tier 1 NOC under the Government Assurance Team, providing advanced technical support and ensuring services stay available, secure and performing at their best.

Qualifications

• Experience in networking, telecommunications, IT operations, managed services, defence, or a similar technical support environment.
• Knowledge of network operations, troubleshooting, and enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco or Fortinet.
• Familiarity with configuring and supporting network devices and ITIL practices (exposure is a plus).
• Certifications or exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, wireless, F5, Juniper, or VoIP are welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, aiming to restore services quickly.
• Investigate complex problems across private networks and Telstra-managed services.
• Deliver network changes and service requests, ensuring timely, accurate completion.
• Collaborate with customers, service desks, vendors and teams to communicate progress and outcomes.
• Contribute to improving processes, service quality and customer experience.
