Job summary

Des's Cabs in Australia is seeking a motivated, reliable Call Centre & Dispatch Operator to join as a Casual Hire with potential progression to Permanent Part Time. You will help manage bookings and dispatch across 10 taxi fleets in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Reporting to the Call Centre Manager, you will take ownership during shifts, communicate with drivers and staff, and resolve operational issues while upholding service levels.

Qualifications

• Prior call centre, dispatch, or customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts on a 24/7 roster.
• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
• Strong focus on accuracy and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Take and manage customer bookings and enquiries accurately.
• Monitor operation to ensure bookings are allocated and managed effectively.
• Communicate with drivers, customers and staff to resolve issues.
• Make independent decisions to maintain service levels and minimise disruptions.
• Support and demonstrate effective working practices within the call centre.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Manage customer concerns and escalations professionally.
• Contribute to a safe, positive and professional workplace.
• Work across a 24/7 roster, including overnights, weekends and holidays.
