The program combines formal study at TAFE with hands-on training, under skilled tradespeople, to develop maintenance and technical support capabilities for locomotives.

Successful apprentices will graduate with a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and join a globally recognised team, with pathways to long-term career progression.

About the Role:

During your apprenticeship you will:

Complete formal studies at TAFE

Gain practical on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced, skilled trades people.

Have the advantage of learning how to be responsible for the maintenance, warranty and ongoing technical support of a fleet oflocomotives. This includes learning fault analysis, maintenance, fleet performance and technical support.

On successful completion, you’ll graduate with a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology - opening the door to a long-term career with a globally recognised company.

Good communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of people.

Basic computer skills.

Year 10 School Certificate (or equivalent).
