Job summary

Progress Rail invites applications for the 2027 Apprentice Intake – Mobile Plant Apprenticeship. You will complete formal studies at TAFE and receive practical on-the-job training under skilled tradespeople, focusing on maintenance, fault analysis and technical support for locomotives.

On successful completion you’ll graduate with a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, opening doors to a long-term career with Progress Rail.

About the Role:
During your apprenticeship you will:

Complete formal studies at TAFE

Gain practical on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced, skilled trades people.

Have the advantage of learning how to be responsible for the maintenance, warranty and ongoing technical support of a fleet oflocomotives. This includes learning fault analysis, maintenance, fleet performance and technical support.

On successful completion, you’ll graduate with a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology - opening the door to a long-term career with a globally recognised company.
