Progress Rail is offering a 2027 Apprentice intake for Mobile Plant Technology. The program combines formal TAFE studies with hands-on training under skilled tradespeople, focusing on maintenance, fault analysis and technical support for locomotives.

On completion, you’ll graduate with a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology and pursue a long-term career with Progress Rail. We welcome applicants who are reliable, eager to learn, and committed to safety, quality and teamwork.

Qualificações

• Year 10 School Certificate (or equivalent).
• Reliable transport and good punctuality.
• A strong work ethic, with a willingness to listen, learn and take direction.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of people.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Complete formal studies at TAFE.
• Gain practical on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced, skilled trades people.
• Learn maintenance, warranty and technical support of a fleet of locomotives, including fault analysis and fleet performance.

About the Role:

During your apprenticeship you will:

Complete formal studies at TAFE

Gain practical on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced, skilled trades people.

Have the advantage of learning how to be responsible for the maintenance, warranty and ongoing technical support of a fleet oflocomotives. This includes learning fault analysis, maintenance, fleet performance and technical support.

On successful completion, you'll graduate with a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology - opening the door to a long-term career with a globally recognised company.
