TeamKids is seeking a capable Second in Charge (2IC) for our Highfields OSHC service near Toowoomba. This permanent, part-time role offers hands-on leadership and the chance to deliver high-quality care to primary school children.

You'll work split shifts Monday to Friday (before and after school), supported by a Director of Service to help you grow in leadership, programming and school community engagement, with training opportunities and advancement paths.

Job Description

This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Highfields - Toowoomba

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:

Before School Care: 6.30 - 9.00am

After School Care: 2.30 - 6.00pm

Total Hours: 30

As the Second in Charge (2IC), you’ll be a key leader in delivering high-quality care and creating memorable experiences for the children in our service.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program

The Successful Candidate:

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!
• RelevantDiplomaqualification (equivalent orworking towards it) as per ACECQA standards. (Visit www.acecqa.gov.au for more info)
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
