Job summary

MEGT is partnering to offer a Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship in Castle Hill, NSW. You will gain hands-on experience with precision mechanical systems and industrial equipment while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

You will learn from experienced tradespeople, receive structured training through TAFE and on‑the‑job mentoring, and develop a long-term career in advanced manufacturing within a supportive team environment.

About the Role

As an apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you'll gain practical, real‑world experience working on precision mechanical systems and industrial equipment. You'll be supported every step of the way while developing the skills to become a qualified tradesperson.

• Assisting with installation, assembly, alignment, and dismantling of mechanical equipment
• Supporting preventative and breakdown maintenance on machinery including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment
• Learning to diagnose mechanical faults and assist with repairs under supervision
• Using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment safely and correctly
• Assisting with bearing replacements, seals, lubrication, and general mechanical overhauls
• Supporting basic welding and spray painting tasks in workshop and maintenance environments
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documentation

About You

• Any hands‑on experience (mechanical hobbies, school workshop, labouring or similar) highly regarded
