About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Teacher and Deputy Principal, you will provide the spiritual, academic and wellbeing needs of students through personal example, integrity and behaviour. We offer full time, part time, limited tenure and relief teaching opportunities throughout Tasmania.
Salary range: $63,461 - $80,772.

As A Teacher Assistant within Catholic Education Tasmania plays a vital role in supporting the holistic development of students and strengthening the work of teachers in creating inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environments. Grounded in the Catholic mission, Teacher Assistants provide targeted learning support, adapt activities to meet diverse needs, and build positive, respectful relationships that help every learner flourish. They contribute to classroom preparation, small‑group and individual support, behaviour guidance, and the smooth running of daily routines, ensuring teachers are well‑supported and students receive the attention they need to thrive. As part of our commitment to safeguarding children and young people, all Teacher Assistants are required to hold a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
