Job summary

Kanda in Sydney, Australia is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide 1:1 support in Frenchs Forest. You will help promote dignity, choice and independence, building trust with the person and responding calmly in challenging situations. Shifts include 8am starts, gradually increasing to 10 hours.

You’ll join a supportive team in a child-safe, inclusive environment. A driver’s licence, Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them

Qualifications

• Current Australian driver’s licence (minimum P2).
• Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain them.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support in line with person-centred plans for the client.
• Promote dignity, choice and independence in daily activities.
• Maintain professional boundaries and ensure safety at all times.
• Respond calmly to behaviours of concern and escalation when needed.
