Zusammenfassung

Die Universität Graz sucht eine First Stage Researcher (R1) im Bereich Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie. Sie arbeiten an Forschungsprojekten zu Arbeitsbedingungen, Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden der Mitarbeitenden, schreiben Publikationen und präsentieren Ergebnisse auf Konferenzen.

Es ist eine Teilzeitstelle (30 Std./Woche) mit Fokus auf eigenständiges Lehren, Prüfen und Organisationsaufgaben. Aufbau einer eigenständigen Dissertation möglich und willkommen.

Qualifikationen

• Exzellenter Masterabschluss oder gleichwertiger Abschluss in Psychologie
• Fundierte Kenntnisse in Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie sowie starkes Forschungsinteresse
• Interesse an dynamischen, reziproken Beziehungen zwischen Arbeitsbedingungen und Mitarbeitererleben
• Interesse an Open Science und erste Erfahrungen mit Open-Science-Praktiken
• Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse (C1) in Wort und Schrift
• Sehr gute Kenntnisse empirischer Forschungsmethoden und fortgeschrittene statistische Methoden in R
• Eigeninitiative, Lernbereitschaft, sorgfältige Arbeitsweise sowie Teamfähigkeit

Aufgaben

• Verfassen einer Dissertation im Bereich Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie
• Durchführung von Forschungsprojekten zu Zusammenhängen zwischen Arbeitsbedingungen und Gesundheit/M Wohlbefinden
• Vorbereitung von Publikationen und Anteil an Veröffentlichungen in internationalen Zeitschriften
• Präsentation von Forschungsergebnissen bei nationalen und internationalen Konferenzen
• Mitgestaltung von Lehr- und Prüfungsaktivitäten
• Eigenständige Durchführung von Lehrveranstaltungen und Prüfungen
• Mitarbeit an organisatorischen Aufgaben und Evaluationsaktivitäten

• Writing a dissertation in the field of work and organizational psychology
• Developing and conducting research projects on relationships between working conditions and employee health and well-being
• Preparing publications and contributing to publications in international peer-reviewed journals
• Presenting research findings at national and international conferences
• Contributing to teaching and examination activities
• Independently teaching courses and conducting examinations
• Contributing to organizational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation activities

Your Profile

• Excellent Master’s degree or equivalent in psychology
• Sound knowledge and skills in work and organizational psychology and a strong interest in research
• Interest in investigating dynamic and reciprocal associations between working conditions and employee experiences and behavior
• Interest in Open Science and initial experience with open science practices
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1)
• Very good knowledge of empirical research methods and advanced statistical methods in R
• High level of initiative and willingness to learn, an independent and careful approach to work, and strong teamwork skills

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,865.40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Organisational Unit

The position is located in work and organizational psychology, with a focus on occupational health psychology. Our research addresses current issues in work and organizational psychology, examining how working conditions influence employee experiences and behavior and how employees, in turn, shape their working conditions.

A particular focus is on investigating dynamic and reciprocal relationships between work stressors and employee health and well-being. We use a broad range of empirical methods, including diary studies, experiments, and intensive longitudinal studies, and connect work and organizational psychology with perspectives from related disciplines.

We value independent research, methodological development, and an open and supportive working environment. The position offers the opportunity to develop your own research ideas, write a doctoral dissertation, and actively contribute to ongoing research projects.
