Zusammenfassung

Erste Group Bank AG in Vienna offers an exciting part-time or full-time internship in treasury trading, starting September/October 2026, with 19.25 hours per week or 38.5 hours per week. You will learn Bloomberg/Reuters and professional trading software, work on derivatives and FX, and gain insight into international banking markets.

Ideal candidates are university students with a quantitative background, passion for financial markets, and some programming experience, plus strong Excel skills

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled at a university with maths, physics, engineering, CS or economics as a background.
• Strong interest in financial markets and willingness to contribute ideas.
• Some programming experience (Java/C/C+/Python/VBA) and solid Excel skills.
• Ability to understand numbers and the story behind them; fluent in English; German helpful.
• CEE language skills are advantageous.

Department Description

There are banking jobs and there are jobs in trading. Treasury trading is the market risk hub for foreign exchange, money market and derivatives activities of the group with centers in our core European countries, US and Asia. We are market making for our customers, handling market risks and so in vital contact with international financial markets, our distribution / sales channels as well as internal customers offloading their risks.

Your Background

• Currently enrolled at a University/University of Applied Sciences with mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science or economic background
• Proven real passion for financial markets
• You like to walk the extra mile and bring in your own ideas
• Some experience in programming language(s), like Java, C, C++, Python, VBA, systems technology, proficiency in Excel
• You not only can "read numbers", but you love to read the story behind these
• Fluent in English, German definitely helps and a CEE language is advantageous
