The institutional Equity Sales Team is part of the Group Securities Markets Department and is thus responsible for servicing institutional clients that engage in equities business. This is done by selling equity products and research to clients that are active in the Primary or Secondary Market, mainly in Erste Group’s core region Austria and CEE/SEE. On the primary market the IES team is involved in the placement of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), capital increases or private placements. Next to the Sales activities the IES Vienna desk is also responsible for executing the orders from institutional clients on the Secondary Market. Sales further supports client’s investment decisions by bringing them together with the executives of listed companies at management roadshows as well as on company visits or conferences organized by IES.

Your Tasks

• Client Coverage & Relationship Management: investor targeting by screening funds for specific contacts, current holdings and investment themes; taking care of the set up process of new clients, maintenance of client contacts in various systems
• Research Distribution: setting up clients for the distribution of research and to send out invoices for research consumption to investors and corporates for paid coverage
• Corporate Access: supporting Sales in the organization of roadshows, conferences and group calls. Documentation of roadshows, client contacts and conferences in the event manager system, maintaining client interaction records in CRM

Your Background

• Ongoing studies at FH/University
• You are a highly motivated student with a strong interest in equity capital markets and institutional investing
• You have prior exposure to financial news platforms such as Bloomberg and experience with CRM systems
• You are comfortable working in a fast-paced financial markets environment, and are eager to gain exposure to corporate access, investor relations, equity research, and institutional investor coverage
• Hands-on use of professional market and AI tools to increase productivity is helpful
• You are fluent in German & English
