Job summary

Erste Group Bank AG in Vienna offers an exciting part-time or full-time internship in treasury trading, starting September/October 2026, with 19.25 hours per week or 38.5 hours per week. You will learn Bloomberg/Reuters and professional trading software, work on derivatives and FX, and gain insight into international banking markets.

Ideal candidates are university students with a quantitative background, passion for financial markets, and some programming experience, plus strong Excel skills

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at a university with maths, physics, engineering, CS or economics as a background.
• Strong interest in financial markets and willingness to contribute ideas.
• Some programming experience (Java/C/C+/Python/VBA) and solid Excel skills.
• Ability to understand numbers and the story behind them; fluent in English; German helpful.
• CEE language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support development of trading strategies in treasury trading contexts.
• Assist traders and sales in daily activities and tasks.
• Participate in pricing, risk management, and client communications.
• Conduct number crunching and coding; develop trading tools.
• Apply creativity to build new strategies and tools.
