Job summary

Erste Group Bank AG in Vienna is offering a 12-month part-time internship in Group Data Quality Management and Innovation Framework. You will collaborate with stakeholders, analyze data quality issues, and contribute to backlog grooming using JIRA/Confluence.

The role requires ongoing studies, strong English skills, and an interest in AI within regulated banking. A hybrid work setup and internship allowance are provided.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Product owner for Group Transaction Classification project and other relevant stakeholders regarding guidelines, policies and best practices.
• Analysis of data and preparation of reports to highlight data quality issues and trends.
• Tests and ensures functionalities meet acceptance criteria according to business requirements.
• Maintains JIRA product backlog, including defining user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Participates in planning/agile meetings with the development team, helps analyze and scope stories for upcoming releases.
• Supports in designing training materials on the product functionalities.

The Department Group Data Quality Management and Innovation Framework is located within the area Group Data Management and Reporting within CFO-division and is designed to improve Group-wide data quality and related processes and to automatize processes within Group Data Management. The department provides a DQM Governance and steering, the innovation framework and best practice including policies and end to end processes. It is responsible for driving Innovation within the division with regards to usability, process and tool improvements.

Your Tasks

• Communicates with Product owner for Group Transaction Classification project and other relevant stakeholders in regards to guidelines, policies and best practices

Your Background

• Ongoing studies at University of Applied Science
• Speak fluently English
• Think outside the box and possess a hands-on mentality
• Have interest in learning and gain more experience in DQ Management
• Provide good social and communication skills
• Experienced in SQL databases, Python, Tableau, JIRA/Confluence
• Understanding of AI and generative AI, including their opportunities, limitations and risks in a regulated banking environment
