The Opportunity

As the Operations Portfolio Lead BGE, you will hold end-to-end accountability for the BGE Operations product portfolio throughout its entire lifecycle to ensure on-time, in-full, and cost-effective supply. In this strategic matrix leadership role, you can serve as the primary Global Operations representative in the Life Cycle Team (LCT). You will operate with autonomy to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, translating business goals into clear priorities for Global Operations, optimizing manufacturing cost structures, and representing the portfolio at the executive level.

  • Portfolio & Supply Strategy: Accountable for a 5-to-10-year consistent product roadmap aligned with Customer Area, Life Cycle Team (LCT), and Diagnostics Operations strategies. You will own end-to-end operations product portfolio strategies for the assigned portfolio.

  • Conflict Resolution: Establish global working structures across networks to manage competing interests, negotiate resource trade-offs, and drive collaborative trade-off decisions.

  • Financial Performance and Budget: Take financial responsibility for the assigned portfolio following a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach, directly governing standard manufacturing cost (SMC) roadmaps. Review portfolio financial KPIs, prioritize budgets , and drive initiatives or business cases for investments.

  • Resource Prioritization: Actively own and balance resource allocation, cross-functional capacities, and budgets against business objectives during constraints.

  • Matrix Leadership: Demonstrate mastery in providing indirect, functional matrix leadership to cross-functional leaders, senior specialists, and expert squads across a global ecosystem.

  • Enterprise Mindset: Foster a work culture committed to customer focus, psychological safety, and operational excellence. Boldly innovate, break down functional silos, and constructively challenge the status quo.

  • Strategic Vision: Act as a resilient systems thinker who navigates high-ambiguity environments to shape long-term strategy and decisions guided by corporate goals.

  • 5 years of leadership experience in a global setting, with a proven track record of providing indirect, functional matrix leadership to senior cross-functional teams, managers, and expert squads without requiring formal headcount responsibility.
