The OPEC Fund for International Development is seeking a Director, Financial Controls in Austria. The role leads the financial controls unit, implements robust internal control frameworks, and ensures timely, accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards and Fund policies.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management or other related field.
• A recognized accounting certification such as the CA or CPA is required.
• Minimum of 15 years relevant professional experience.
• Preferably five (5) years at a senior level in an international banking institution.
• Fluent in English. Good working knowledge of Arabic, French, German or Spanish is an added advantage.

Aufgaben

• Ensure quality controls over financial transactions and maintain accurate records of accounts and documents.
• Lead the quarter-end and year-end close process for timely reporting.
• Oversee banking and custodian relationships to ensure timely execution and settlement of transactions.
• Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team and manage external auditors and the Audit & Risk Committee.
• Drive implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures for financial recording and reporting.
