BRP-Rotax in Austria is seeking a Direct Buyer – Steel Components to own and implement sourcing strategies for the steel components category and manage the supplier panel across locations. You will lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting to hit cost, quality, and delivery targets.

You will collaborate with engineering, logistics and production, drive cost reductions, ensure early supplier involvement in development projects, and report KPIs to management.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in business, engineering or supply chain.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
• Proven negotiation experience with direct and indirect materials.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Structured, proactive, results-oriented mindset.

Aufgaben

• Own and implement sourcing strategies and manage the supplier panel for the steel components categories.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting across locations.
• Achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets and initiate cost-reduction measures.
• Ensure early supplier involvement in development projects.
• Manage supplier relationships, business reviews, and escalations.
• Identify supply risks and ensure continuity of supply.
• Align purchasing strategy with product lifecycle, volume planning, and sustainability goals.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, logistics and production teams and report KPIs to management.
