Lever, Inc. is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer for AI tooling to own architecture, development, and long-term evolution of our developer platform.

You will lead multi-quarter projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with leadership on technical strategy to enhance productivity and code quality. The role blends hands-on backend work with technical leadership, offering broad ownership across systems used by engineers daily and an opportunity to shape AI-powered software engineering practices

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2–3+ years at Senior or Staff level.
• Proven track record delivering developer platforms and tooling.
• Experience leading AI-powered tooling adoption.

• Own the architecture, development, deployment, and long-term evolution of developer platform and AI tooling capabilities.
• Lead multi-quarter technical projects with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
