Job summary

Red Bull is seeking a Solution Architect to translate business needs into end-to-end designs, defining components, integration patterns and non-functional requirements. You will ensure alignment with the IT landscape and guide architectural choices across delivery lifecycles.

The role includes governance, risk assessment, advisory with business and platform teams, and contributing to reusable reference architectures and scalable solutions across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or similar study or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Around 5 years of professional experience in solution architecture or senior technical roles.
• Proven track record of designing end-to-end solutions across enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of cloud and enterprise application landscapes and integration patterns (APIs, messaging, data flows).
• Experience with SAP or other major enterprise platforms is advantageous.
• Ability to assess security, scalability, resilience, performance and operational readiness.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to balance business needs, speed, complexity and risk.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach with stakeholders; ability to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

Job Description

SOLUTION DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE

You'll translate business needs into end-to-end solution designs, defining the right components, technology choices, integration patterns and non-functional requirements. You'll assess how proposed solutions fit into the existing IT landscape and identify where new capabilities are needed.

ARCHITECTURE GOVERNANCE & RISK

You'll apply architecture principles to ensure solutions remain aligned, consistent and maintainable. By identifying risks, dependencies and trade-offs early, you'll help teams make informed decisions while documenting architectural choices and their rationale.

DELIVERY & STAKEHOLDER ADVISORY

You'll advise on architectural directions for incoming IT demands and work closely with business experts, platform teams and external partners. Throughout the delivery lifecycle, you'll support project and implementation teams, explain design options to stakeholders and contribute to vendor and RFI/RFP assessments.

SHARED PLATFORMS & SERVICES

You'll contribute to improving the shared technical services and platforms that enable business applications to run reliably and cost-effectively. This includes helping to build and extend integration and runtime capabilities while providing structured architectural guidance to the teams using them.

ARCHITECTURE EVOLUTION & KNOWLEDGE SHARING

You'll contribute to target architectures and cross-functional IT initiatives while following and further developing our internal Solution Architecture Methodology and ways of working. By promoting reusable reference architectures, patterns and guidelines, you'll help share architectural knowledge across teams.

Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science / similar study or equivalent practical experience

Fluent English skills, German is a plus

Around 5 years of professional experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture or a senior technical role such as lead engineering.

Proven track record of designing and delivering end-to-end solutions across enterprise technology environments.

Solid understanding of cloud and enterprise application landscapes, including integration approaches such as APIs, messaging and data flows.

Experience with SAP or other major enterprise platforms is an advantage.

Ability to assess security, scalability, resilience, performance, cost and operational readiness.

Strong systems thinking and sound judgement when balancing business needs, delivery speed, complexity and risk.

Clear communication skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach to working with business and technology stakeholders, including the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and explain trade-offs.

Experience with architecture documentation, design reviews or vendor assessments is an advantage.

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2,535 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
