Lever, Inc. in Graz, Austria is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to manage the Control Plane team. You will own end-to-end roadmaps, drive performance reviews and hire/retain engineering talent across backend, frontend and security domains.

You will ship production-grade backend services (Python on Kubernetes), enable on-premise and air-gapped deployments, and lead architecture discussions to ensure sovereign control and scalable operations.

Qualifikationen

• Managed software engineers directly for at least two years with performance ownership.
• Maintained technical credibility by reviewing designs for resource management and failure modes.
• Shipped and operated backend services in production, preferably Python on Kubernetes.
• Delivered software into customer-controlled environments, including on-premise or air-gapped deployments.
• Strong writing and async-first, remote-friendly collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Lead and grow a team spanning backend, frontend and security work; conduct 1:1s and performance reviews.
• Own the roadmap end to end; teams manage SLAs, cost, on-call and customer impact.
• Deliver the public API developer experience for defense and enterprise integrators.
• Build usage and licensing instrumentation for adoption and per-tenant behavior.
• Ship access control for sovereign customers with SSO and RBAC tooling.
• Represent the team in architecture and design reviews; own the stack.
• Maintain the operational bar for availability, request success and incident quality.
