Goldright seeks a Software Engineer to advance the core product with Java, Spring, and AI feature integration. You will collaborate with Consultants, Operations, and IT in a Graz-based team to deliver high-quality software across backend and frontend areas.

You’ll work in an agile, 3-week sprint environment with peer reviews and testing practices, while contributing to AI-driven innovations and flexible development practices.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of work experience in software development with Java
• Completed technical studies related to software engineering or equivalent practical experience/training in software development
• Solid knowledge of software development principles, database modeling (SQL), and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of server-side web application fundamentals and an openness to working on both back-end and front-end topics
• High personal standards regarding product quality, performance, and security
• Good communication skills in English (minimum B2 level) to collaborate effectively with local and cross-functional teams
• A proactive, collaborative mindset to bring your own ideas to the table, position oneself where the biggest impact can be made, and find creative solutions in a broad product landscape

YOUR JOB

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the continuous development and enhancement of our core product. In this role, you will work across a broad technical spectrum, bringing in your own ideas to shape the product’s future, utilizing modern development practices—including integrating and developing AI features directly within our solutions.

You will join a close-knit, Graz-based team of developers, collaborating tightly with Consultants, Operations and the IT department to deliver high-quality software.

Your Job’s Key Responsibilities Are

• Developing high-quality software solutions and web application fundamentals using Java Core, Spring, and relational databases, with a willingness to dive into front‑end topics when needed
• Collaborating within a versatile team where everyone is encouraged to be a generalist, while still having room to focus on their preferred areas of expertise
• Working closely with Consultants to ensure our API provides clean, flexible customization boundaries, enabling them to easily adapt the product to specific customer needs
• Actively participating in our developer‑driven agile workflow: enjoying 3‑week sprints, dailies 3 types a week, and the freedom to self‑select the tasks you want to work on
• Taking part in collaborative sprint planning as well as joint sprint reviews with the entire team
• Ensuring product quality through smart testing practices and conducting peer code reviews for major technical implementations
• Driving innovation with AI: utilizing AI tools to accelerate your daily development and directly building advanced AI features for our product

Your Skills

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of work experience in software development with Java
• Completed technical studies related to software engineering or equivalent practical experience/training in software development
• Solid knowledge of software development principles, database modeling (SQL), and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of server‑side web application fundamentals and an openness to working on both back‑end and front‑end topics

Beneficial Skills

• Knowledge of modern container and cluster technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Solid experience with the Spring framework
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript or other programming languages
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools
• German language skills

The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience and is significantly above the minimum salary defined by the collective agreement. What is also important to us is to pay our employees an internally comparable salary. For legal reasons, we need to disclose the minimum annual salary for full time employment as stated in the current collective IT agreement, which is € 55,356 gross/year for this position.
