Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking a Site Support Engineer to deliver on-site technical support and maintenance for mining equipment in Austria. You will install, commission, and service pumps, cyclones and valves, while solving mechanical issues to ensure uptime.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with 5–10 years of field service experience in mining or cement industries, and can communicate in English and German. Safety and documentation discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5–10 years of field service experience in mining or cement industries.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance, repair, and inspection of industrial equipment (pumps, cyclones, valves).
• English and German speaking; strong mechanical systems knowledge; control/automation knowledge a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of pumps, cyclones and valves.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to ensure reliable equipment operation.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to enhance equipment performance and lifespan.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians to resolve complex issues and ensure timely project delivery.
• Support aftersales services with the sales team and identify new equipment opportunities.
• Maintain detailed service records using standardized documentation tools.

• Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to ensure reliable equipment operation.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to enhance equipment performance and lifespan.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to resolve complex issues and ensure timely project delivery.
• Work actively with the sales team to support aftersales services and identify new equipment opportunities.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, upgrades, and retrofits using standardized documentation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum of 5 - 10 years of field service experience, preferably in the mining or cement industries.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance, repair, and inspection of industrial equipment, particularly Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves.
• English and German Speaking Strong understanding of mechanical systems; knowledge of control/automation systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and best practices.
