Job summary

TGW Logistics Austria is seeking a strong technical leader to elevate a software development team in simulation and material flow logic. You will drive architectural decisions, ensure robust and scalable delivery, and lead an international team of about 10 engineers with a focus on engineering standards and delivery excellence.

Ideal candidates bring years of C#/.NET experience, a solid grasp of software architecture, and strong leadership in complex domains, with fluency in German and English.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional software development experience, ideally in C#/.NET.
• Strong understanding of architecture, design decisions and trade-offs.
• Excellent analytical skills and passion for solving complex technical challenges.
• Communicative, visible leadership with responsibility and direction.
• Experience in simulation, intralogistics or high-performance teams (advantageous).
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction, set ambitious goals, and bring energy, structure, and decisiveness to the team.
• Bridge architecture, product understanding, and process expertise within a demanding domain.
• Make architecture decisions with long-term impact on stability, performance, and maintainability.
• Create transparency around progress and unblock blockers to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop an international team of ~10 software engineers.
• Define and uphold engineering standards for clean code, testing, CI/CD, and excellence.
