Omya, a leading global producer of industrial minerals, is seeking a senior technical services scientist in Austria's Kärnten region (Lavamünd area). You will provide technical and laboratory support across all stages of product development and customer trials.

You design proof‑of‑concept studies, analyze data from lab, field and customer tests, and prepare technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Food Engineering or related field; PhD preferred.
• 7+ years experience in a similar role or in product development within the food industry (B2B experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of the food ingredient market; experience in powder processing is an advantage.
• Proven ability to design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and translate results from lab, field, and customer trials into actionable recommendations.
• Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently while fostering collaboration.
• Experience in technical leadership positions preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Solid project management skills, including planning and documentation.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% as required.
