The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, located in Vienna, invites applications for an Experienced Software Engineer (f/m/d) in Industrial Vision Systems. You will lead software development, ensure security and modern standards, and architect scalable vision platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in industrial software, strong C++/Python skills, and experience with CI/CD, Docker, and AI-assisted development.

Qualifikationen

• Completed MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems or related field
• At least 5 years of industrial software development experience
• Strong command of English and German (both required)
• Strong skills in modern C++ and Python; experience with Git, CMake and Linux
• Experience with AI-assisted development and coding agents; secure software practices
• Knowledge of sensing and camera tech and factory automation is advantageous

• You design software architectures for reliable, expandable vision systems
• You scale technology from rapid spike development to 24/7 industrial operation

• You share expertise with junior developers, guiding requirements and design

• You develop industrial solutions focused on performance, reliability and innovation
