ISG Personalmanagement GmbH in Graz is seeking a Senior Software Developer (m/f/d) for an internationally operating software company in aviation solutions. You will develop high-quality software, implement features in an agile team, and collaborate with Product Owner to refine requirements.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, knowledge sharing, and a modern tech stack including microservices, APIs, and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Education in software development or related degree.
• Strong understanding of Kalman filter and state-transition matrices.
• Ability to research new topics quickly and apply knowledge.
• Proactive, pragmatic, step-by-step problem solving approach.
• Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Experience with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Exposure to functional and OO programming; Scala/Java/Python a plus.
• Fluent English as working language.

For its office in Graz, our client is currently looking for a Senior Software Developer (m/f/d).

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality software using a modern technology stack for fault-tolerant, high-performance computing solutions in the aviation industry
• Implement, test, document, and integrate new features as part of an agile development team
• Define and refine features in close collaboration with the Product Owner and your development colleagues
• Create and present software-level designs, develop test procedures, and participate in internal reviews
• Coach team members and actively foster knowledge-transfer sharing within the team
• Take end-to-end ownership of feature development, aligned with overall project milestones and delivery commitments

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education in software development (e.g. higher technical college or a degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a comparable field)
• Strong interest in and understanding of relevant mathematical principles (e.g. Kalman filter, state-transition matrices)
• Ability to research new topics, learn quickly, and apply new knowledge effectively
• Proactive, pragmatic mindset with a structurd, step-by-step approach to problem solving
• Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and data pipelines
• Experience working with the GIT and azure frameworks (e.g. Azure DevOps, cloud services)
• Exposure to different programming paradigms (functional and object-oriented); experience with Scala, Java and Python is a plus
• Fluent English skills (working language)

The minimum salary for this position, as per the IT collective agreement, is 3,843.00 € gross per month. However, there is a possibility of offering a higher salary based on your qualifications and professional experience.
