Job summary

Frequentis Group, headquartered in Vienna, delivers mission-critical railway communication solutions for Europe’s largest operators. As a Senior System Engineer (all genders), you will lead system engineering, integration support, and customer collaboration on FRMCS projects across Europe and Australia.

You will develop architectures, technical specifications, and deployment strategies, and drive testing, qualification, and migration activities with international project teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Telecommunications, IT, CS, or Systems Engineering.
• Several years of experience as a System Engineer in complex IT/railway projects.
• Hands-on in system engineering, requirements, integration, testing, deployment, and migration.
• Experience with 3GPP Mission Critical Services is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as Senior System Engineer throughout the project lifecycle for FRMCS projects.
• Contribute to system architecture, specifications, integration concepts, and deployment strategies.
• Develop and maintain project engineering documentation and deliverables.
• Lead internal and external system integration, testing, and migration activities.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, dependencies, and issues across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with customers, management, development teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
