Zusammenfassung

Allianz Commercial in Vienna seeks a Property Underwriter to support a dynamic Central Europe portfolio. You will underwrite large new and renewal accounts and drive profitability across the Property line.

Reporting to the Regional Head of Underwriting Property and Engineering, you will collaborate with brokers and risk managers, using data-driven insights and AI tools to optimize outcomes. Fluency in English is required; German is a strong advantage.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Law or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in property underwriting or as a broker in Property line.
• Solid broker relationships at peer level in the market.
• Excellent understanding of regional/local property insurance markets and global dimensions.
• Good understanding of relevant legal/regulatory framework.
• Ability to assess risk exposures and natural hazards in Property.
• Ability to design robust policy wordings.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Proficiency with AI-powered tools and data-driven insights.

Aufgaben

• Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets for the Property portfolio.
• Negotiate participation, pricing, and terms with brokers; manage capacity.
• Contribute to development and execution of regional Underwriting strategy for Property.
• Support local entities with technical excellence, growth, and profitability.
• Understand and steer portfolio performance for regional and local teams.
• Represent Allianz Commercial to brokers and distribution channels externally.
• Involve cross-functional areas in underwriting processes (Distribution, Risk Consulting, Claims, Operations).
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients and risk managers.
