Allianz Commercial in Vienna is seeking a Senior Property Underwriter to drive profitability on new and renewal accounts across Central Europe. You will work with a seasoned team to manage capacity, negotiate terms with brokers, and help shape regional underwriting strategy.

The role demands extensive property underwriting experience, strong market knowledge, and fluent English with German as an advantage. A hybrid work setup and attractive compensation are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Law, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in property underwriting or as a broker.
• Established broker relationships at peer level and market presence.
• Strong understanding of regional and local property insurance markets.
• Knowledge of legal/regulatory framework relevant to the role.
• Ability to assess risk exposures and natural hazards for Property.
• Experience in designing robust policy wordings.
• Strong analytical skills and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Experience applying AI/ML to improve processes is beneficial.
• Fluent English; German or CE language skills are an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom-line targets and grow the Property portfolio.
• Negotiate participation, pricing, and terms with brokers and proactively manage capacity.
• Contribute to development and execution of the regional underwriting strategy for Property.
• Support local entities with delivery of technical excellence, growth, and profitability.
• Understand and steer portfolio performance for regional and local teams.
• Coach and develop less experienced underwriting staff.
• Represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market with brokers and distribution channels.
• Drive involvement of Distribution, Risk Consulting, Claims, and Operations in underwriting processes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and risk managers.
