Allianz Commercial in Vienna seeks an experienced property underwriter/broker to drive growth, negotiate terms with brokers, and contribute to regional underwriting strategy. You will manage risk, develop broker relationships, and guide less experienced staff while representing Allianz externally.

A degree in a related field and extensive property underwriting experience are required; fluent English is essential, German is a strong advantage.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or equivalent professional experience in a related discipline.
• Significant experience in property underwriting or as a broker in the Property line of business.
• Well-established broker relationships at peer level with market presence.
• Strong understanding of regional/local property insurance markets and competitive landscape.
• Good understanding of legal/regulatory framework relevant to the role.
• Ability to assess risk exposures and natural hazards in Property.
• Proven ability to design robust policy wordings.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data from multiple sources.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to lead without direct authority.
• Experience applying AI/ML to improve processes is beneficial.
• Fluent English required; German or CE language skills advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet targets and grow the Property portfolio.
• Negotiate participation, pricing, and terms with brokers; manage capacity.
• Contribute to development/execution of global Property underwriting strategy regionally.
• Support local entities with delivery of technical excellence and profitability.
• Understand and steer portfolio performance with underwriting teams.
• Coach/train/develop less experienced underwriting staff.
• Represent Allianz Commercial externally to brokers and distribution channels.
• Involve Distribution, Risk Consulting, Claims, and Operations in underwriting processes.
• Build relationships with brokers, clients, and risk managers.
