Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Cost Engineer / Cost Controller on major CAPEX projects.
• Strong experience on large pharmaceutical projects above CHF 250 million.
• Proven experience working within an EPCM environment is essential.
• Previous client-side experience within a pharmaceutical company is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of project cost control throughout Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.
• Proven experience with Budget, Commitments, Accruals, ETC, EAC, Forecasting and Cost Reporting.
• Experience managing project changes, risks, opportunities and contingencies from a cost perspective.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret large and complex datasets.
• Ability to communicate project cost performance clearly to senior management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SAP, SAP Ariba and Oracle Primavera Unifier is an advantage.
• Excellent command of English.
• Business fluent German is an advantage.
• Degree in Engineering, Science, Quantity Surveying or equivalent professional experience.
• Comfortable working in a global, fast-paced and complex project organisation.

Aufgaben

• Support development of project cost estimates and transition from estimate to Control Budget.
• Establish and maintain project cost-management processes and interfaces.
• Prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts for Project Leadership.
• Monitor budget, commitments, VOWD, accruals, FX, ETC, EAC, and cost phasing.
• Identify cost overruns and opportunities with forward-looking analysis.
• Review cost information from Engineering Partners and contractors.
• Ensure contractor cost-control methodologies align with project requirements.
• Support Applications for Payment, material trending, productivity and change logs.
• Support Change, Risk & Opportunity Management and cost impact evaluation.
• Manage and monitor contingency drawdown.
• Collaborate with PM, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Finance and suppliers.
• Support project close-out, asset activation and benchmarking.
• Provide guidance to other cost engineers when required.
