Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Austria seeks an experienced PCB Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize PCB assembly processes, including manual SMD soldering and automated equipment.

You will drive SMT production workflows, set up pick & place and reflow, perform PCB testing, and develop automation solutions. Strong knowledge of Altium Designer or Cadence is required, with a Bachelor/Master in EE or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• First experience in PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or lab engineering advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, PCB design and simulation, and automated assembly technologies.
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence, Eagle, or similar.
• Interest in automation, process optimization, and programming.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English; German skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize PCB assembly processes using manual SMD soldering and automated equipment.
• Drive setup, programming, and continuous improvement of SMT production workflows including pick & place and reflow.
• Perform PCB testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis to ensure high quality standards.
• Design and review PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools
• Develop and implement automation solutions to increase efficiency within the engineering lab
• Create and maintain technical documentation and process standards
