The Sigmund Freud Private University (SFU) is Austria’s largest state-recognized private university, with its headquarters in Vienna and additional campuses in Berlin, Linz, Ljubljana, Milan, and Paris.

We are currently seeking a Senior Network Administrator (m/f/d) for our IT department, to start immediately.
Your Responsibilities:
- Network design, operation, and optimization at the company’s locations (LAN, Wi-Fi, MPLS, ...)
- Collaboration on exciting infrastructure projects (e.g., setting up new locations, adapting existing locations)—from planning through to commissioning
- Taking on and managing IT projects in the area of networks (NIS2, switching, routing, firewall, Wi-Fi, etc.) as part of the digitalization strategy
- Maintenance, modernization, and standardization of the technologies and network components in use
- Occasional involvement in IT support
- Collaborating with colleagues from other departments (Windows system administrators)
Your Profile:
- Completed technical education (HTL, FH, university) with a focus on IT
- Several years of professional experience with network projects and in IT project management, with a focus on the operation of a Windows server environment, as well as proven expertise in the successful implementation of IT transformations in the IT infrastructure sector
- Very good knowledge of network technology and network protocols in both LAN and WAN ( OSPF, BGP, QoS, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP), as well as in-depth expertise in network design and network security
- Experience in configuring (routing, security) and operating equipment from leading manufacturers (Cisco, HP Aruba, Fortinet, ...)
- Proactive attitude, high motivation, and a strong willingness to learn and pursue personal development.
- A structured, results-oriented, and quality-conscious approach to work, as well as strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English

For this position, we offer a gross monthly salary (all-in) of €5,500 on a full-time basis, with a willingness to pay more for candidates with appropriate qualifications or prior experience.
