Sigmund Freud Private University seeks a Research Assistant (m/f/d) for the Institute for Qualitative Social Research, starting 1 October 2026. The role supports teaching qualitative methods, assists in research projects, and helps with organizational operations of the Institute.

The candidate is enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program with courses in qualitative methods and has strong German (C2) and English (B2/C1) skills. The position is 9 months fixed-term and based in Vienna.

The Faculty of Psychology is seeking a Research Assistant (m/f/d) to support the Institute for Qualitative Social Research, starting October 1, 2026

Your responsibilities:

• Supporting tasks in the area of teaching qualitative methods
• Supporting tasks in ongoing research projects (recruiting research participants, transcription, data analysis)
• Supporting tasks related to the organizational operations of the Institute for Qualitative Social Research

Your profile:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with courses in qualitative methods already completed, or currently enrolled in a master’s program (a completed bachelor’s degree is a plus)
• Very good knowledge of qualitative methods
• Very good command of German (C2 level) and good command of English (B2/C1)
• Reliability and attention to detail
• High level of commitment and the ability to work independently

For this position, we offer a gross monthly salary of €2,400 on a full-time basis.
