An experienced freelance Senior Java Software Engineer is sought for an international project in the financial services sector. You will take responsibility for developing professional web applications for a coverpool management solution in the Sustainable/Public Finance area, working in a multicultural environment.

Quick Facts

• Project: Development of a coverpool management solution for Sustainable/Public Finance
• Start: as soon as possible
• Duration: until 31.12.2027 (with possibility of extension or early termination)
• Onsite requirement: 2 days on average per week in Vienna
• Language: English (German language skills are preferred)

Your responsibilities:

• Development of professional web application software for the finance industry in an international environment
• Writing well-designed, documented, and testable code
• Conducting unit testing of developed software components
• Maintenance of 15-year-old enterprise applications
• Development of unit and integration tests

Your profile:

• At least 7 years of practical development experience with Java, Hibernate, SQL, SOAP, JAXB, and Spring
• Sound experience with CI/CD and source code management tools (Gradle, SVN, Git)
• Basic knowledge or experience in banking business, ideally in Coverpool-Management (a strong interest in banking business is required)
• Proactive attitude and team orientation with close collaboration with business stakeholders
• Very good communication skills in a multicultural environment
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of development responsibilities for the product
• Structured working approach and strong problem-solving skills
• German language skills are preferred due to German documentation

Framework conditions:

• Flexibility regarding contract duration (extension or early termination possible)
